The opportunityReporting to the Manager of the Reproductive Ambulatory Care Team and under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, the General Office Clerk works independently and is responsible for tasks associated with the reservation and registration process. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: scheduling ultrasounds and consultations; coordination of appointments; recording of patient visits; retrieval, labeling and filing of patient records; respond to telephone inquiries; Entering orders for laboratory samples; and other administrative tasks as needed.Working hoursMonday to Friday; 7.0 hours per shiftYour qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of a recognized diploma program in secretarial or office administration, preferred
- Demonstrated accurate keyboarding and data entry skills required.
- Previous experience with Meditech and Community Wide Scheduling (CWS) preferred.
- Demonstrated strong time management, analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize required workloads.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while meeting strict deadlines
- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills required.
- Demonstrated initiative; Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision/direction required.
- High regard demonstrated for the quality, precision and attention to detail required.
- Demonstrated flexibility to meet the demands of the required workload.
- Excellent judgment and discretion in handling confidential and/or sensitive information required.
- Demonstrated experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machine, photocopier) preferred.
- Proficiency in other languages considered an asset.
