MKTG S+E is part of the wider dentsu Sports International network.job descriptionMKTG Sports + Entertainment is seeking a motivated Associate Account Director (“AAD”) to join our consulting team working on a portfolio of incredible, high-profile brands. As an AAD, you will play a significant leadership role across all departments, providing trusted strategic advice and ensuring execution of client programs, growing our business, and supporting an engaging agency culture.

The AAD will report to our Vice President of Consulting.You will be:Customer and Account Service

  • Inspire trust with our clients as a daily Senior Account Manager.
  • Collaborate with cross-agency teams (creative, media, PR, social) to develop cutting-edge marketing solutions.
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer success by managing all deliverables and resolving issues.
  • Maintain an understanding of your client’s business and make recommendations.
  • Help clients gain recognition for their work and investments by leading external and internal awards applications (e.g., collecting relevant metrics, writing briefs, coordinating trailers).
  • Ensure accurate delivery of work scopes, budgets, invoicing and reconciliations.

Sponsorship advice

  • Play a significant role in all stages of the sponsorship lifecycle including opportunity identification, strategy development, deal evaluation, partnership negotiations, activation brainstorming, program development and management, performance measurement and optimization.
  • Develop relationships with properties, agents and the inter-agency team.
  • Providing strategic, evidence-based perspectives on difficult issues.

Team leadership

  • Inspire employee growth through mentoring and supporting relevant professional development opportunities.
  • Position your team for success through prioritization, delegation, clear instructions, workload balance monitoring, and project management.
  • Supervise and review work reports ensuring they reflect MKTG standards.

Business Development and Administration

  • Develop internal financial objectives, budget management and resource planning.
  • Identify business growth opportunities with our customers.
  • Drive business opportunities from start to finish by managing our client relationship, leading the business discovery process, solution brainstorming, project and mandate definition, budget development and client pitches.
  • Provide commercial support to the agency’s legal team on client contracts, scopes of work and other related documents.

QualificationsYou have:

  • University or college degree in marketing, business or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related industry (branding, real estate or agency experience).
  • Knowledge of the Canadian sports and entertainment landscape as well as the influencer marketing sector.
  • Experience building relationships with clients, properties and company partners.
  • Experience presenting recommendations and concepts to senior leaders.
  • Leader with a proven track record of inspiring and coaching direct reports.

Additional InformationThe salary range for this position is $63,750 to $85,000. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on various factors including experience, relevant knowledge and skills.
